How to Use the Roto Brush Set

Less brushing. More skiing.

The Roto Brush Set takes the elbow grease out of ski tuning and gives your bases that smooth, shop-quality finish in a fraction of the time.

1. Grab Your Drill

Insert the Roto Brush shaft into any standard power drill and tighten the chuck.

If you're doing the full treatment, the order is easy to remember:

Brass → Nylon → Horsehair

2. Start with Brass

The Brass Brush is the workhorse.

Use it before waxing to clean dirt and old wax out of the base structure.

After waxing, it's also your first brush for removing excess wax. If you're using the mountainFLOW IR Waxer, this takes the place of scraping.

Pro Tip: Let the brush do the work—you don't need to mash it into the ski/board

3. Switch to Nylon

Next up: the Nylon Brush.

Run it from tip to tail to remove remaining wax and start polishing the base.

You're almost there.

4. Finish with Horsehair

For the final touch, switch to the Horsehair Brush.

A few passes from tip to tail will clean up the last little bits of wax, expose the base structure and give your skis that beautiful, shiny these-things-are-ready-to-rip finish.

5. Go Ski

That's it.

Brass. Nylon. Horsehair. Done.

Your bases are clean, polished and ready for snow.
