How to Use the Wax Roller Machine

Less wax. Less mess. More skiing.

The mountainFLOW Wax Roller Machine makes it ridiculously easy to apply a thin, consistent layer of wax to your skis. It’s especially handy when you’re waxing multiple pairs and want to move fast.

1. Add Your Wax + Heat It Up

Add your favorite hot wax to the Wax Roller Machine and turn it on. You can use regular wax bars—no special flake wax required.

Give the machine enough time for the wax to melt and get up to temperature. The wax will be molten before it is hot enough to apply.

Pro Tip: Pick a versatile everyday wax and leave it in the machine between tuning sessions.

2. Roll On the Wax

With the ski base facing down, smoothly roll the ski across the wax roller.

That’s it.

The machine applies a thin, even layer of wax across the base without the dripping, puddles and wasted wax you get with a traditional iron.

3. Heat It In

Once the wax is applied, use the mountainFLOW Infrared Waxer to heat the wax into the base.

Because the Wax Roller applies such a thin layer, we recommend using the IR Waxer rather than a traditional wax iron.

4. Let It Cool

Give the base a few minutes to cool before brushing.

Perfect time to grab a beverage, wax the next ski, or admire how clean your tuning bench still is.

5. Brush + Go Ski

Once the wax has cooled, brush the ski from tip to tail.

A roto brush makes this especially fast, but a hand brush works too.

No scraping required.

And that’s it—you’re ready to rip.
